Beyt Dwarka

2 Days

Overview

Beyt Dwarka is a sacred island located near Okha in Gujarat and is considered a part of the ancient city of Dwarka mentioned in the Mahabharata and Skanda Purana. It is believed to be the residence of Lord Krishna during his ruling years.

The name “Beyt” means gift, and it is said that Lord Krishna received this island from his friend Sudama. Archaeological remains found under the sea indicate settlements from the Late Harappan period of the Indus Valley Civilization.
