Matheran is a small hill station located in the Western Ghats range in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India.

Location: Around 90 km from Mumbai and 120 km from Pune.
Altitude: Approximately 800 meters (2,625 feet) above sea level.
Famous For: Its serene nature, colonial charm, and being an eco-sensitive zone.
No vehicles are allowed. Visitors must park at Dasturi Point and walk, take a horse ride, or use hand-pulled rickshaws.
It has over 30 scenic viewpoints including Panorama Point, Echo Point, Louisa Point, Charlotte Lake, Monkey Point, etc.
