OVERVIEW
Mahabaleshwar is a serene hill station in the Satara district of Maharashtra, known as the origin point of the Krishna River. Once the summer capital of the Bombay Presidency during British rule, it is perched on the Sahyadri range of the Western Ghats.
Lonavala & Khandala are famous twin hill stations in Pune district, located close to both Pune and Mumbai. They are renowned for chikki, lush green landscapes, waterfalls, and their importance on the Mumbai–Pune rail and expressway routes.
